3. He Did the Difficult Things –
Of all of the difficult things that leaders encounter, one of the most difficult positions a leader may take is one that causes him to stand all alone. No one likes feeling like his decision has put everyone in opposition to his leadership. However, “Doing the difficult thing means not letting public opinion sway you from what God, your heart or your spirit is telling you” (Jones). Jesus, who is our perfect example, said “no” on several occasions. Let’s take a look at those occasions.
