The Fire of the Holy Ghost!

Yes, that great wedding day when Christ (the bridegroom) returns for His bride (the church).  Will you be ready?

One thing is for sure, if we are to be ready, the saints everywhere need to be revived and set on fire for the Lord.  The ole’ church saints use to sing the song – “I wish somebody would – catch on fire, catch on fire and burn with the Holy Ghost”.


You may ask why someone would say such a thing as, “catch on fire and burn with the Holy Ghost?  Well, I can’t speak for the person of whom the song derived but when I think of fire, my mind went directly to the story of Moses when the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush that burned with a fire that was not consumed (Ex. 3:2).

I, as a saint of God, cannot be satisfied just getting myself ready for that great wedding day and not be concerned about my fellow human beings that may not even think about getting ready to meet the King.  More important, I recognize that my life needs to be burning with the fire of the Holy Ghost so that someone may become curious to come and see why this fire that I have is burning and not being consumed. My God!!

Can you imagine if all the people of God everywhere revived themselves, begin to seek God for a deeper and closer walk with God, all of the burning bushes that would appear amongst those who grope around in darkness?  What an impact that would make on our communities. Oh God help us today!!

WE NEED TO CATCH ON FIRE – NO MORE TIME FOR COMPLACENCY!!!!!

Too many are trying to minister and draw sinners to Christ and we are not burning with the fire of the Holy Ghost. We must know that we cannot catch on fire on our own.
Here are a couple suggestions that will lead to catching on fire:

1. Get in the right place – bible study (stay in His Word)
2. Have the right attitude – acquire a “Do right Mind” - constantly saying "Yes Lord" "Yes to His Will and Way"
3. Make ourselves available – Lord whatever You’re doing in this season – don’t do it without me!
4. Bless the Lord at all times – Continuous praise and worship

You will catch on fire. No doubt about it!!!!
