Excerpts from Jesus – CEO. Strength of Self-Mastery -1
3. He Did the Difficult Things –
Of all of the difficult things that leaders encounter, one of the most difficult positions a leader may take is one that causes him to stand all alone. No one likes feeling like his decision has put everyone in opposition to his leadership. However, “Doing the difficult thing means not letting public opinion sway you from what God, your heart or your spirit is telling you” (Jones). Jesus, who is our perfect example, said “no” on several occasions. Let’s take a look at those occasions.
Question: What difficult things are your instincts, right now, telling you to do?
4. He did not Waste Time Judging Others (This is a good one – for real)
Judgment is a major energy leak and it stops progress. Think about it. When we stop to start judging the actions of another, we are not being productive in what we are suppose to be attending to. Listen to this account and what Jesus told Peter:”Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? Jesus saith unto him, If I will thathe tarry till I come, what is that to thee? Follow thou me”. Wow!! In other words – mind your own business and keep your eye on your own FORWARD motion.
